Ahh, the Dole Whip scented candle at Aldi. Whenever I come home from the Walt Disney World theme parks, I’m always pretty bummed out for a while. After all, it’s the combination of the scents and attractions (and food!) that I truly enjoy when i’m there. So, I’m always on the lookout for things from home that remind me of the parks. Enter the Dole Whip scented candle at Aldi.
I shop at Aldi. A lot. And when I’m in store, I make it a point to head to the home goods area because they have the best candles around. Similar in style to Bath & Body Works, its 3-wick style is highly affordable and most of them smell very good. A couple of months ago, I found a candle that smells exactly like Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. But today, I came home with a huge smile on my face because one of its latest summer scented candles smells exactly like my favorite snack in the Disney Parks. Here’s the scoop on the $3.99 Dole Whip scented Aldi candle.
Truth? My family loves Walt Disney World. So much so that these past couple of months we’ve been dreaming about visiting the parks again, talking about our favorite restaurants and reminiscing about our favorite memories. And, at least once a week, I tell my family that I can’t wait to have a Dole Whip in the park again.
If you’re not sure what a Dole Whip is, it’s a gluten free, frozen treat that’s either served as is or with pineapple juice to make it a float. It’s perfect for a snack or midday treat and it’s very popular, especially in Magic Kingdom. It has just the right amount of pineapple scent and taste and it’s crazy creamy and smooth. Personally, I know this scent very well. If I’m in Adventureland in Magic Kingdom, I can smell them before I even hit Aloha Isle.
Okay, so enough about my favorite snack at Disney World. Here’s everything you need to know about the Aldi candle that smells like Dole Whip for only $3.99.
Update note: While we all loved the fact that Aldi 3-wick, long burning jar candles were only $3.99 a piece, recently the company has upped the pricing to over around $4.50 per candle. Hey, compared to the giant candles stores, it’s still a major steal, but I wanted to share that should this amazing scent come out again this year, the price has increased. Okay, back to the yummy smelling Dole Whip candle show!
Dole Whip Scented Candle at Aldi – Hawaiian Luau Candle
This past week, Aldi released its latest line of 3-wick, soy blend candles. The one you want to look for is Huntington Home Hawaiian Luau. It has a pretty, yellow hue with a silver lid. You’ll find it in a shallow box with three additional scents – all good, by the way.
It weighs in at 14 ounces, so nearly a pound, and burns beautifully.
Side note: did you know that candles have a “wax memory”? To take full advantage of your candle, and to make it burn evenly every time, you should make sure that the first burn melts the wax all the way across the top. This way, the consecutive burns will continue to burn evenly.
And, of course, please use common sense when burning any candle. Make sure it’s away from anything that can catch fire, never leave it unattended, and keep away from children. If you want the scent but not the flames, you may want to consider a candle warmer.
