Sure, there’s plenty of thrill rides at Walt Disney World, but when you’re traveling with family or on a multigen vacation, there’s rides that not everyone can (or wants to) ride. So, which Walt Disney World rides CAN you hit with everyone in your vacation party? Here’s five Epcot rides for everyone in your family and traveling party.
When you’re traveling with your family to Walt Disney World, there’s bound to be times where not everyone can ride at the same time – and that can be a bummer. But, there are attractions at Epcot that are more than accommodation for all. Here’s our five top picks.
Tip: There’s no ride at the American Adventure pavilion in World Showcase, but it does have amazing live shows, especially during Flower & Garden and food & Wine Festivals.
Another Tip: If you’re park hopping between Disney World theme parks from Hollywood Studios to Epcot (or the other way around), try the Skyliner at least once – it’s like a free ride in itself!
Epcot Rides for Everyone: Journey into Imagination with Figment
Since 1983, Figment has made us giggle. Located in the the Imagination pavilion in Future World, the pesky purple dragon not only is a hoot to watch, the slow-moving ride is downright fun for small children, adults, and grandparents. Get ready to hold your nose in one spot, though: the bold scent of coffee is lightly blown into your face! There’s generally not much of a standby line for Journey, so save your FastPass selections for other rides.
Epcot Rides for Everyone: Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros
It’s a hunt for Donaldo (aka Donald Duck) on a slow-moving boat ride in the FastPasses on the Gran Fiesta Tour. During the ride you’ll see highlights of Mexico cities and float by a volcano and the table service restaurant, San Angel Inn Restaurante. The attraction is filled with animated dolls similar to “it’s a small world” in Magic Kingdom and the songs are fun. Only on high crowd level days have we seen the Gran Fiesta tour crowded, so we like to hop on, off, and back on again it’s so fun!
Tip: The quickest way to get to Mexico Pavilion is to walk past Mission Space and Test Track.

Epcot Rides for Everyone: Spaceship Earth
There’s no way to miss this ride: it’s in Epcot’s icon! The ride will take you back in time and then send you to the future in 16 minutes’ time, and the interactive screens make the backward descent fun. You’ll learn about everything from the creation of the alphabet to the painting of the Sistine Chapel. Lately, Spaceship Earth’s standby queue has been filling up quickly, so consider using one of your lower tier FastPasses to lock in a time.
Would I consider this a dark ride? Absolutely.
Epcot Rides for Everyone: Frozen Ever After
There’s plenty of “Frozen” in this slow-moving boat ride and kiddos that love the movie will love it. located in Norway Pavilion in World Showcase, right now it’s THE ride to hit for families of all ages. Lock down a FastPass+ selection as soon as you’re able for Frozen Ever After.

Epcot Rides for Everyone: Living with the Land
In my opinion, I feel that Living with the Land is sorely overlooked. Located in The Land Pavilion in Future World (and adjacent to Soarin’), the 20 minute boat rides gives us all a lesson in horticulture. It’s eye candy for gardeners and kiddos will love looking for Hidden Mickeys.
Epcot Rides for Everyone: The Seas with Nemo & Friends
The Seas with Nemo & Friends is short but sweet (five minutes long), but it’s so worth it. You’ll hop into a slow-moving clam shell and off you go to basically relive the movie’s top scenes. The last part is our fave: Nemo and friends are projected into the massive aquarium to swim with the fishes.
And if you have extra time, Turtle Talk with Crush is right at the exit to Nemo and Friends!
Tip: If the kiddos love animals, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the place to go!
