Such sweet, sweet news: Walt Disney World park hopping in 2021 is returning! And, while those of us that have already been in the parks this year are happy they’re opened, there was something big missing with the ability to visit another theme park each day. Here’s what you need to know about park hopping at Disney World and how it will work.
Park Hopping 2021 In a Nutshell
Beginning January 1, 2021, park hopping will return to Walt Disney World. Sure, it’s exciting for those of us that like to visit one park in the morning and another in the afternoon. But exactly how does it work?
Continuing to use the Disney Park Pass Reservation system, you’ll need to choose your first park. Then, as long as you have the park hopper option, beginning at 2pm you’ll be able to select another park to visit.
While that sounds easy enough, there are a few stipulations. First, you’ll need park hopper tickets (or an Annual Pass). Second, the second park you’ll choose is based on park availability and crowd levels. So, depending on how busy the parks are on that day, there may not be an option. Additionally, park hopping may begin earlier in the day depending on day and park.
You’ll still need to follow safety protocols including physical distancing and wearing a mask at all times unless eating or drinking while stationary.
There have been plenty of recent changes at Walt Disney World including Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Mickey Business has the scoop on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Virtual Queue Changes.
