Normally when I visit Wendy’s®, it’s a quick trip through the drive-thru for a chicken sandwich and a Frosty®. So, when I visited my local restaurant, I headed there for breakfast. Spoiler alert: it’s a great spot for a tasty, freshly prepared meal for great value.
Wendy’s Frosty® Cream Cold Brew
True story: one time, when traveling, the ice cream melted in my mini fridge, so I added it to my coffee the next day, and it was delicious. So, you can imagine my happiness when I found out that Wendy’s has a Frosty® Cream Cold Brew.
Available in three flavors (chocolate, vanilla, and caramel) and three sizes (small, medium, and large), it’s an ideal morning drink. Who am I kidding? It’s great for any time of the day, say, for an afternoon pick-me-up or a late-night drink.
Wendy’s Breakfast Sandwiches
When it comes to breakfast in my house, there’s a split. My husband, ever the carnivore, wants meat, aka bacon, on his breakfast sandwich. I, on the other hand, want both a sweet and savory kick to my sandwich. Enter Wendy’s® breakfast menu that makes us both happy. I love, love, love the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit as it has a crispy chicken filet (perfectly seasoned, by the way) in between a fluffy buttermilk biscuit. Add in the maple honey butter, and it’s perfect.
As for my husband, he’s all about the Breakfast Baconator®. It’s packed with grilled sausage, American cheese, plenty of Applewood smoked bacon, and a freshly-cracked grade-A egg (no premixed, already beaten eggs). If that wasn’t enough, Wendy’s adds in MORE cheese and bacon, then puts Swiss cheese sauce on the top. If that combo can’t fill my carnivore, I’m not sure anything can.
If we’re really hungry, we’ll go for the combo option for our sandwiches. We get a drink (of course, I go for a Frosty® Cream Cold Brew) and a side of Seasoned Potatoes – they’re naturally cut with the skin still on, so they’re crispy and perfectly seasoned with black pepper and garlic powder.
Lastly, we’ll split an order of French Toast Sticks. In both a four and six-piece serving size, I don’t know how Wendy’s does it, but they’re crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside – and they taste homemade.
