This summer, Boston Market has officially upped its game with a new, flavorful lunch menu. Filled with all the quality protein that’s become its standard, the items are a combination of classic dishes with fun spins. Here’s the scoop on the Boston Market summer lunch menu.
Many years ago, I started checking out a new restaurant in Cranberry Twp., Butler County, PA. Well, at least it was new to me. It was called Boston Chicken, and from the second I tried my first Quarter Chicken meal with freshly baked cornbread order, I was hooked.
At least once a week, I’d head into the shop to grab some delicious rotisserie chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, mac and cheese, and those awesome, little cornbreads. Yum!
Many years have passed since that first visit. And, while it’s name is now officially Boston Market, its quality is exactly like I remember it. I went back to that same location recently to taste-test its new summer lunch menu and it was like going to an old friend’s house. Add in pickles and ranch dressing, and I’m never saying no.
What’s On the Boston Market Menu for Summer Lunch?
In addition to those classic faves (like the Quarter Chicken meal – they are experts of rotisserie chicken!), it’s offering six new items. It officially launched on June 1st – just in time for the kickoff to summer.
● Southwest Chicken BLT – On fresh ciabatta with Cholula bacon, avocado,
Tillamook pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion and chipotle
aioli
● Chicken Avocado Club – On fresh ciabatta with bacon, avocado, Tillamook
cheddar cheese, lettuce red onion and herbed mayo
● Chicken or Turkey – Served on ciabatta with smoked cheddar, lettuce, tomato,
red onion and herbed mayo
● Chicken Salad – On multi-grain hoagie roll with sliced tomato, lettuce and
mayo
● Southwest Cobb Salad – Romaine & leaf lettuce blend, bacon,
avocado, corn relish, pico de gallo, red onion and chipotle ranch
dressing
● Caesar Salad- Romaine lettuce, three-cheese blend, croutons and Caesar
dressing
Of course, if you don’t see anything you like on this menu, there’s always the family meal deal Boston Market offers. Just for reference, Family Meals feed 3-6 people.
What We Tried
When The Kid and I visited, we tried both the Chicken Avocado Club and Chicken Salad. Both were really good, very fresh, and offered delicious flavors for summer. Our order was prepared in a snap, and we added on a couple of sides to complete our meals. I mean, there’s no way I can resist a good chicken noodle soup.
The Chicken Salad was prepared in-house and when I asked exactly what ingredients were in it, the staff immediately knew – because they made it. That’s another reason to dig Boston Market – fresh rotisserie means fresher, healthier meals.
As for the Chicken Avocado Club, is was pretty big. My teenage daughter could only eat half, so we took the other half to go. The ciabatta bread was fresh and light and the avocado tasty.
Summer Throwdown at Boston Market
Ok, on Friday, June 21st from 11am – 2pm, Boston Market has a challenge for you. It wants to to ditch your fave cafe or bakery and enjoy one of theirs on the house.
Yep, bring in your current favorite sandwich, compare the quality, and you’ll undoubtedly be surprised. I can taste the difference its always fresh, never frozen rotisserie meats make every time.
The next step is to vote for the sandwich throw down winner in an online survey. Now, that’s a hoot!
Note: Free sandwich upgrades will be offered while supplies last.
How You Can Save on Boston Market’s Summer Menu
Personally, I think its prices are very affordable considering it uses home style rotisserie meats, but print this out to save some cash off your lunch.
