If you’re planning a vacation to Niagara Falls, Canada, and want to check out the major attractions on the main drag, you’ll definitely want to head to Clifton Hill. And while the cost of each can be pretty expensive (even with the Canadian dollar exchange rate), it doesn’t have to if you have a Costco membership. In a nutshell, go there before you buy a Clifton Hill Fun Pass at Costco.
Disclosure: I actually went to a Canadian Costco to make sure this deal is still valid. As of April 2023, it’s an amazing deal to take advantage of. If you don’t already have a Costco membership, it’s not worth buying one unless you’ve already planned to for use throughout the year.
And a side note: prices are in Canadian, so if you’re visiting from America, you’ll need to do the math. And lastly, this post is not sponsored, so feel free to click the purchase link below.
Clifton Hill Fun Pass at Costco
My family truly does love Niagara Falls, ON, and going at least once a year is part of our yearly travel fun. Sure, we’ve done the haunted houses, restaurants, and outdoor activities , but there really is nothing like visiting Clifton Hill for all of its cool attractions. Additionally, I love to save money on family travel when I can, so digging into how to legitimately save money on something we always do makes perfect sense.
So, while at my brother’s house in St. Catherine’s, I began hunting down discounts on the Clifton Hill Fun Pass at Costco popped up. After reading about it, I had a couple of questions: first, can I use my American Costco card in Canada (one word: yes) and was it as easy as it seemed, aka, go into the warehouse, find the cards, and checkout. (again, yes).
I visited the Niagara Falls Costco, a few minutes away from the heart of the city to get my passes.
What Attractions Are On a Clifton Hill Fun Pass?
Once in a while the Clifton Hill Fun Pass attractions swap out for newer ones, but it pretty much remains the same. For 2023, here are the six attractions on a Fun Pass:
- Niagara Skywheel
- Dinosaur Golf or Wizard’s Golf – If the weather is poor, I suggest the indoor Wizard’s Golf.
- Zombie Attack 6D Theatre Ride
- Movieland Wax Museum
- Cosmic Coaster XD Theatre Ride
- Ghost Blasters Dark Ride
Apart from the Niagara Skywheel, the attractions are kind of hokey, but that really is what makes them so fun. The Niagara Skywheel is gorgeous day or night, but if given the choice of one over the other, I’d choose a nighttime spin.
If you’re in Canada and go on the Clifton Hill official website, the price for an adult pass is $34.95 CAD ($39.49 total) plus tax. Head to Groupon and it’s $29.91 CAD – less than the website but more than Costco. You’ll also have to buy the passes on Groupon at least a day in advance. You’ll be able to use the pass for up to one year after purchase, so if you’re planning on visiting again soon, and don’t get all of the attractions done, you can go back and finish.
Even with the low price at Costco, is a Clifton Hill Fun Pass worth it? Here’s the scoop.
