I’m a travel writer, so spending the night in a different hotel every week is a fun way of life. Having written that, I can certainly tell the difference from a good to a decent to an amazing mattress. And, at this point in my life, I love amazing mattresses. I want one that’s super comfortable and still very affordable. Here’s my take on our new Sweetnight king mattress.
Sweetnight Mattress Review: Ordering Online
Selecting a Sweetnight Mattress Review: Unboxing
Once ordered, our Sweetnight Mattress arrived pretty quickly. Mine was shipped directly from the company and it only took a few days. It came in a large cardboard box and our delivery man dropped it right off on our porch. Honestly, between The Kid and I, we had no problems scooting it into the house. We tipped the box on its side, slid the coiled mattress out of the box, and got ready to remove the thick plastic. Sweetnight Mattresses come with a plastic “zipper” (think envelope opener) and all we had to do was make sure we didn’t catch it on the mattress itself. If I can make a suggestion, especially if you order a king mattress, make sure to have at least two adults to maneuver it up and onto the bed. Because its has coils, it’s heavier than a pure memory foam mattress. It also offers a medium-firm feel. As soon as the plastic came off, the mattress immediately began expanding. In truth, we unboxed ours mid-afternoon and it was ready to sleep on by bedtime. The company suggests a full 72 hours for full expansion, and that’s true. Was there a scent when we opened it? Yep, but it was very faint. It did dissipate after about 15 minutes. If you’re super sensitive to smells, make sure you have plenty of ventilation. It’s been just under a month since we received our Sweetnight Mattress and it’s very nice. It’s comfortable, but I would consider it more of a medium firmness as opposed to medium-firm. And, I have felt Mr. Locke roll over in the middle of the night. Having written that, I am a light sleeper. In regard to the hypoallergenic claim, my husband the allergy sufferer had no issues at all. You have no idea how nice that is to write. No sneezing or itchy, watery eyes for my guy. So, in a nutshell, if you’re looking for a good quality, affordable mattress, I’d definitely recommend a Sweetnight Mattress. The company offers a 10-year warranty, so you can contact the company for support at any time. For all additional information, head to the official
